I only purchased this book for the long awaited Viktor's story. It did not live up to expectations. There was no plot, no storyline, no climax . . . just two people finally admitting their feelings for each other. The End.
I'm so happy all the stories are now in one place. I love that we now have Viktor's story. I'm sad that it's over, but happy about the way it ended. All good stories. Viktor's could have been a little bit longer to get a fuller arc for both characters, but overall still good.
A story your mind gets lost in, where you feel what the characters feel isn’t enough to read just once. It’s something you want to experience over and over. The love, lust, betrayal, loss… everything. A good book can get your heart pumping, your belly dipping, and your body tingling. It’s something a person can experience, no matter how many times you read it.
I voluntarily read Taking the fall by Alexa Riley in exchange for an honest review. I absolutely loved reading this book the first time and it was even better this time with the new story. I can never get enough of Alexa Riley. The story was hot and exciting. The characters were wonderfully written and had undeniable chemistry between them. This is an absolute must read that you won't want to miss.
The addition of Viktor's story was necessary to complete the loop, but mostly was serviceable. The authors didn't try to fully develop his character, nor his woman, London. There was steam, and some sweetness underneath, but it felt like a sketch, nit a full story...even for instalove.
Taking the Fall was terrific. In this set you get the entire series with extras. This series starts off with the story of Layla and Carter. Carter and Layla have interesting history. When he is released from prison he decides to find Layla and claim her once and for all. Will Layla give her heart to Carter? This series continues with the following characters stories Saint and Jeanette, Mary and Anthony, Samuel and Nika, and ends with London and Viktor's story. This series was super steamy, intriguing, engaging and seductive. This is a must read for sexy romance readers.
I read this series last year and I loved it! I finally bought it an re-read it with Viktor's story! LOVED IT! Carter and Layla's story takes place over 9 years and Carter takes care of what's his! He kills and is sent to prison to keep her safe. After he gets out he goes after the one thing he wants the most. It's exactly what you come to live about Alexa, Insta-love, getting Layla safe and keeping her that way. The steamy love scenes were scorching hot! What I really likes were the love letters at the end.

Saints and Jeanette 's story is equally hot and you get to know more about Layla 's best friend. You get to see she's more than a pretty face and everyone has their secrets. Saint was so sweet and freaked your heart at what he's been through as a child.
Their kids story is equally sweet and hot!!
Viktor's long awaited story is awesome!! Definitely well worth the wait! Loved his and his angels story.
